Program Support Specialist
Elizabeth Dawson
Elizabeth Dawson (she/her) is thrilled to join the cooperative PEPS team as the Program Support Specialist. A long-time educator, she has over a decade’s worth experience teaching elementary and preschool. Most recently, she worked as a mentor educator supporting early childhood teachers, students, and their families as they navigated school life during a pandemic. Elizabeth is most excited that her behind the scenes work with PEPS will allow her to continue helping parents as they build community and traverse the ups and downs that come with being in relationship with their children.
Outside of PEPS: Elizabeth lives in Shoreline with her husband, daughter, and two quirky cats. She loves rooting for the Seahawks on Sundays, exploring parks with her family, in all weather conditions, and lying on the beach with a good book while a breeze blows, and the sun warms her skin.
Education: BA in Liberal Arts from Soka University of America with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences; MA in Teaching from University of Portland; MA in Educational Leadership and Societal Change from Soka University of America.
Favorite Quote: “Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless how it turns out.” — Vaclav Havel
