Well-being Workshop Series
Your well-being matters—both for you and the parents you support in PEPS Groups.
PEPS has designed a workshop series specifically for PEPS Group Leaders to help you boost your own well-being as a facilitator! This program will equip you with practical strategies to navigate the highs and lows of parenthood and group leadership.
Together, we’ll explore simple, effective practices to:
- tune into your own emotional experiences
- build resilience for everyday challenges
- strengthen skills for coping with difficult emotions
- cultivate a sense of balance and well-being
Sessions will include mindfulness and compassion-based practices, gentle movement, emotion-coping exercises, reflective activities, and group discussions. Discover tools that can enhance not just your leadership in groups but also your personal journey. Join us for this engaging and interactive six-week program!
Event Details
Who: This program is open to all PEPS Group Leaders, current and former!
When: Beginning Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 12 - 1:30 pm PST. Sessions will run for six weeks, ending on March 27, 2025. There will be no session on February 20, 2025.
Where: In the comfort of your own space! Registered participants will receive event reminders, including a Zoom link.
Application Details: This opportunity is open to all PEPS Group Leaders, and an application is required. Thanks to the generous support of the Maritz Family Foundation, this program is being offered free of charge to all participants accepted.
- Deadline: Submit an application form on or before Monday, January 27, 2025.
- Notification: Participants will be notified of their enrollment by Thursday, January 30, 2025.
- Limited Space: Space is limited, so be sure to apply early to secure your spot in this incredible program!
Event Accessibility and Accommodations
Some sessions will incorporate short yoga sequences that can be done standing up and/or in a chair. Please let us know in your application form if you have any physical considerations for these movement-based practices.

Meet the Facilitator:
Robyn Long (she/her), MSW, has been facilitating well-being and mindfulness-based programs for more than 15 years in a variety of community and clinical settings in the U.S., Canada, India, and the Middle East. At the University of Washington's Center for Child & Family Well-being, she co-developed evidence-based programs, including Be REAL (Resilient Attitudes & Living), that enhance the mental health and wellness of youth, mothers, and providers working with families. Robyn’s work also includes consulting on mental health interventions with Indigenous communities, including initiatives to strengthen perinatal wellness.
Robyn has completed advanced yoga and meditation teacher training programs under the guidance of Sir TKV Desikachar at the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation in India, The New England School of Integrative Yoga Therapeutics, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens. She has specialized training in yoga and mindfulness for children, cancer patients, trauma, and the perinatal period. Robyn holds a BA/MA in International Development & Social Change, MSW, and a certificate in Early Childhood Education and Development. Outside of work, she enjoys canoeing and hiking with her family.
