Protocols for Positive COVID Case in Your PEPS Group
If you test positive for COVID, please follow these steps:
- Notify the Group Leader that you’ve tested positive and let them know the date of your test. Please also let them know if you have been symptomatic. Your name will remain anonymous when we let the group know that there’s been a positive case. If you are the Group Leader, go to step #2.
- Notify PEPS staff that there has been a positive COVID test. You can email us directly.
- If the group has met in person within the week that a positive COVID test occurred, the group must revert to a virtual format for 10 days after the positive test. After 10 days, participants can return to the in-person format.
- If the group has not met in person within the week that a positive COVID test occurred, the group can continue to meet in person without the participant who tested positive.
If you have been exposed to COVID, please follow CDC guidelines to mask for 10 days following exposure. You can find that information on the CDC website or on the King County Public health website.
