PEPS for Dads Group

 

Dads are always welcome to join any PEPS Group. Many Dads participate in our evening Newborn Groups along with their wives or partners. Dads also join daytime groups such as our Baby Peppers Groups. But U.S. census data shows that the number of fathers who decide to be home full time to raise their children is on the rise, and for the dads who choose to take the reins at home, there are very few places they can go for support and find other men doing the same thing. In response to the increasing number of Dads who are the primary caregivers in our area and based on feedback we have received from our parent community, PEPS is thrilled to announce a new PEPS Group for primary caregiver Dads!  Register now or read on for more information...

The PEPS for Dads Group is a place where primary caregiver Dads meet, share and learn in volunteer-facilitated sessions. Each meeting includes time for sharing parenting highs and lows, followed by a group discussion on a topic related to the adventure of parenting. Meetings also include break time for informal socializing and connecting with other parents, and time for learning games and activities to play with the babies.

The PEPS for Dads Group is open to Dads who are primary caregivers with babies 0-12 months old when the group begins.

PEPS Dads Groups meet once a week for 90 minutes per session. Each group meets for 11 weeks.

Spring Session Available:

Seattle/Queen Anne: Twirl Cafe, 2111 Queen Anne Avenue N., Seattle 98109.
Mondays, 12 - 1:30pm, April 9-June 25 (skip Memorial Day)

Cost

Fees for an eleven-week program (spring, fall, or winter quarter) are $155 per family.  Fees for the eight-week summer quarter are $120 per family.

Payment due at time of registration; however, if you are requesting a scholarship, please fill out the registration form then email carim@peps.org before making payment so that your scholarship application can be reviewed and the scholarship amount applied. Your payment can be refunded if you cancel at least three weeks before the group begins.

If the Dads’ Group does not meet its minimum enrollment, we will cancel it - in this case, you could either choose a different group to attend, or receive a full refund.

Scholarships

PEPS wants to serve EVERY family that registers for a PEPS Group. Financial hardship should never be a deterrent when considering joining PEPS. We happily provide income-based scholarships in for 20-75% off fees, and full scholarships in special situations. (If you want to find out now whether you would qualify for a scholarship, you are welcome to contact us.) Requests for scholarships will be possible once you select the session and location of your group.
