Expecting
Orientations are for expectant/new parents who are not yet in a PEPS group, to meet parents and parents-to-be in your area.
Parent Quotes
"It was great to have a chance to talk to other pregnant women about how our pregnancies are going, and to get tips from them, and from the new moms in the room about how to make it through these last few weeks. I also liked being able to get all my questions about PEPS answered."
"It was very helpful to learn more about PEPS, but as a new parent of a six week old baby, it was also just great for me to get out of the house and be around other parents for a little while, and get support, ideas, and encouragement."
"We went to orientation when I was still pregnant; about half of the families there had already had their babies - they were 8 days to 2 months old. My husband and I loved the chance to just watch them interacting with their babies - we'd never really been around such young babies before."

Orientations are designed for expectant and new parents who are not yet placed in a PEPS group. Orientations are a fun way to meet other parents and parents-to-be in your area. Each session offers a chance to sample the PEPS experience with other curious parents, as you talk about the experience of pregnancy and early parenthood, while learning and supporting others.
You are welcome to come during pregnancy or before adoption, or after the baby is born. Of course, you are very welcome to bring your baby along. PEPS Orientations are free and do not require registration. Orientations are encouraged but not mandatory.
“Please note: Due to the current epidemic of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) in Washington State, PEPS has implemented a policy requiring that all adults who attend Orientations or PEPS Groups must be current on their Tdap booster. All babies must be current on the DTaP vaccine once they are old enough for the first dose. Families who do not comply with this policy cannot participate in PEPS at this time.
To register for a PEPS Newborn program, you will need to create your account, log in, and register here.
