Grandparent Happy Hour (April 2018)

Join us at our Grandparent Happy Hour on Thursday, April 12, 5:30-7:30 pm

Location: iLEAP Library (4th floor, Good Shepard Center, Wallingford), 4649 Sunnyside Ave N., Seattle, WA 98103

Topic: How can you stay connected with children and grandchildren through technology and social media? Join us for this hands-on tutorial and introductions to social media tools such as Facebook and Skype/Facetime.

Please bring any communication device you use to communicate with family: phone, computer, iPad, or anything else that works for you.


Come and bring a friend to celebrate being a grandparent, and meet & mingle with other grandparents in our area in an informal and relaxed setting.

Presenters:

Jennifer Dolan-Waldman is a grandparent of three, ages 10, 7, and 2, and has used a variety of technology resources to connect with family members both near and far. Prior to her retirement, she taught classes focused on introduction to technology, helping people of various skill levels and interests become more comfortable with using and managing different forms of personal technology.

Liz Dodds moved to Seattle in 2016 to help care for her two grandsons, ages 3 and 1, after retiring from a long career as a high school librarian in Fresno, CA. She has been president of the California School Library Association, and has been active in such organizations as Computer Using Educators and the International Society for Technology in Education.
