Data and Evaluation Specialist

PEPS is seeking a Data and Evaluation Specialist

The Data and Evaluation Specialist oversees, monitors, and evaluates data throughout the organization and makes strategic and programmatic recommendations to ensure the quality of PEPS programming. This position works with all teams to collect and analyze Fundraising, Operations, and Program data and ensure sound data collection standards and analysis throughout the organization. The Data and Evaluation Specialist operates with an equity lens and leads work across the organization towards a shared goal of improving the experience of those connected with PEPS.

PEPS parent support programs educate, inform, and create community. Core Responsibilities

  • Assesses PEPS evaluation and data collection efforts.
  • Designs and evaluates surveys and other data.
  • Shares data and evaluation recommendations with staff, board, and external shareholders through monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Manages annual Program survey analysis process and makes recommendations for improvements and changes.
  • Monitors and reviews participant survey data on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborates with Program Team with recommendations to improve programs based on evaluation outcomes & participant feedback.
  • Conducts analysis of fundraising data and operations data as needed.
  • Fulfills data and evaluation grant reporting requirements.
  • Updates and creates documentation for processes, data collection, and reporting.
  • Utilizes CRM database for ongoing reporting and manages the data health processes.
  • Makes data accessible and visually digestible to a range of audiences through dashboards, presentations, and summaries.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

CORE Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge and application of equity frameworks to program evaluation with an understanding of inclusive forms of data collection and analysis.
  • Experience with survey development and analysis.
  • Experience working with medium-sized data sets and segmentation.
  • Ability to approach data innovatively and leverage technology to streamline processes.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, SharePoint, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs (preferred).


  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, social science-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years working in program evaluation, specifically survey development, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience with process improvement and/or quality assurance a plus.

This non-exempt, full-time position will be 40 hours a week. All PEPS staff are currently working remotely and will continue to do so through the end of 2021 due to COVID-19. There may be some in-person training or meetings required at our Wallingford office. When staff return to normal operations, the job requires a minimum of 50% in-office presence during regular business hours.

This position's expected pay range will be $26 - $32 per hour, based on experience, plus employee health benefits, paid parental leave, and retirement matching. PEPS offers 12 paid office closures, 15 days of accrued paid time off, and two floating personal days. PEPS offers an inspiring, collaborative, family-friendly working environment that values flexibility and professional development for staff. The PEPS main office is located in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle, with a satellite office in South Seattle.
