PEPS Luncheon Childcare FAQ's

A Nanny For U and Seattle Children’s Theatre are generously providing child care staffing, activities and space for the children of our 2012 PEPS Benefit Luncheon guests. Thanks to their generosity, the event childcare is FREE!
We do hope you will leverage their generosity by making a joyful gift to PEPS at the event.

1. Childcare Provider: About A Nanny For U

   A Nanny For U has been serving families in the Seattle and surrounding areas since 1994 and has been involved with PEPS for over 10 years! For event childcare, A Nanny For U will provide experienced, screened and highly professional caregivers for up to 40 children. Their ratio is 1:4 for children up to 18 months and 1:6 for children 18 months – 5 years.

2. Childcare Space: Seattle Children's Theatre

   The childcare will be held at the Seattle Children’s Theatre in 2 activity rooms. The Seattle Children's Theatre is right next door to Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion, where the Luncheon will be held. Directions to the childcare space will be sent with the registration confirmation.

3. Childcare Activities:

   * A Nanny For U Staff will provide appropriate toys, books and activities for all children.
   * SCT Education Director Karen Sharp will be teaching a free, interactive Story Drama class for PEPS Luncheon children 3.5 years and up from 11:45- 12:15. If you want to take advantage of this program, please have your children at Seattle Children’s Theatre’s event childcare by 11:30 am.

4. What’s the age range of the children at your event childcare?

   We accept children between 6 months and 5 years.

5. How many spaces do you have?

   Event Childcare is offered for up to 40 children on a space-available basis.

6. When is childcare available?

   Children can be dropped off as early as 10:30am on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 and must be picked up by 1:15pm. Children who want to participate in the Story Drama Class provided by Seattle Children's Theatre (see above) will have to be dropped off by 11:30 am.

7. How and where do I register for childcare at the PEPS Luncheon?

   Childcare registration is the responsibility of the parent (not the Table Captain!).

8. Is there a registration deadline?

   Registration deadline is February 17, 2012, but space may fill before then.

9. What do I need to bring?

   Since childcare will take place during the lunch hour, each child must have a pre-packed nutfree lunch with him/her. You will also need to pack diapers, naptime mat and bottles if applicable. And please bring anything that might help your child feel comfortable (blanket, stuffed animal…).

10. What if my child cries while I’m away?

    Each parent must provide a cell phone number that will be available for use during the Luncheon (on vibrate), so that childcare providers can contact you in case of a medical emergency or meltdown.
