Share PEPS
Help us reach more new moms and dads by sharing with everyone you know about the incredible parent support network PEPS provides for new parents.
Why Share?
"First-time parent groups provide lasting benefits not only for families, but also for society as a whole."
~ U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health
The PEPS community is all about sharing; information, support, the peaks and valleys of parenting. One of the most meaningful things you can do for PEPS is share your experience by telling friends, colleagues and community members about PEPS.
For those already familiar with PEPS, it may seem like "everybody" knows about PEPS, but actually we serve just 10% of families having first babies in the greater Seattle area. PEPS reaches more families every year and much of this growth is driven by the strength of personal recommendations. Impressively, 85% of participants find out about PEPS from a friend. Your action spreading the good word about PEPS will help us serve nearly 2,500 families in 2012!
What You Can Do...
Talk widely about PEPS, educate as many people as you can about the incredible network PEPS provides for parents at various stages of their journey. In particular, reach out to new parents who may benefit from hearing your experience of the lifesaving support of a PEPS Group, and learning that they too could join a community of parents who share similar frustrations, challenges, and joys. Encourage your friends to watch this video featuring parents talking about their own PEPS experience. Invite folks who share your passion for PEPS to volunteer to lead a group.
...With Just a Click
We've made it incredibly simple to share PEPS information by preparing email text, flyers and other quick and easy resources that you can use to generate vital word-of-mouth for PEPS.
Your Voice Makes a Difference
Most of the families who register for a group tell us that they heard about PEPS from a friend, family member, co-worker or neighbor. Some tell us that they were approached by strangers in the grocery store who said "You have to join PEPS. PEPS saved my life when I had a new baby!" 89% of PEPS alumni say the reason they joined PEPS was its great reputation as a valuable resource for new parents.
Many People Don't Learn About PEPS in Time
Expecting and new parents receive so much new information that they often forget about things they intended to explore or don't take advantage of offers that might be helpful. Listen to one new mom who wishes she'd known about PEPS sooner.
