Second Time Around

PEPS Second Time Around

Focuses on the newborn in a family with one or more older children. One parent attends with the newborn 2-16 weeks old; the same parent attends each week. Each meeting includes time for sharing parenting highs and lows, time to focus on the babies' development and a discussion topic. Meetings also include break time for informal socializing and connecting with other parents.

If you have two children ages 3 and under and would like to attend with both, try Little Peppers.

PEPS Parents Say It Best

"It was something to look forward to every week and the meetings were enjoyable times to socialize with other women who had two children roughly the same ages."

"It was helpful to be with others who were dealing with an infant and toddler at the same time. I loved getting together with other parents who "get it" when I talk about the challenges of my day!"

Please note: Due to the recent epidemic and continued concerns of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) in Washington State, PEPS has implemented a policy requiring that all adults who attend PEPS Groups must be current on their Tdap vaccination. Getting vaccinated with Tdap at least two weeks before coming into close contact with an infant is especially important for families and caregivers of new infants.

All babies must be current on the DTaP vaccine once they are old enough for the first dose. Families who do not comply with this policy cannot participate in PEPS at this time.

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact peps@peps.org.
