Verdant Health Commission improving health in south Snohomish County

The Verdant Health Commission began partnering with PEPS in 2013 to increase new families’ access to PEPS services in south Snohomish County through outreach and reduced program fees.

Verdant is focused on improving the health and well-being of all south Snohomish County residents, and it currently invests in its residents’ health by supporting programming with nearly 50 organizations, many of them nonprofits, like PEPS, or public agencies, like city recreation departments.

Verdant programs serve all ages, from prenatal services for first-time moms all the way to senior services. Some programs focus on preventing or supporting people with specific health issues, such as diabetes, heart disease and more. A few highlights include:

The Verdant Community Wellness Center in Lynnwood serves the public through classes, trainings, workshops and more, including healthy cooking classes in the demonstration kitchen.
