New Supplemental Group for Single Parents!
PEPS is proud to offer supplemental programs for parents with unique challenges.
In addition to meeting with their regular weekly group (Newborn Program, Baby Peppers, or Little Peppers), parents can attend a FREE monthly supplemental group for extra support and social connections.
Starting in May, we will offer a supplemental drop-in group for single parents, whether they’re single by choice or by circumstance, whether single parenthood was planned in advance or a surprise along the way. Parents of children under age 3 are welcome. You can attend with or without your child(ren).
The group will be held at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford. The group’s leader is Allison Norris, who is also the co-executive director of Project Parachute, an organization founded by Jason Mesnick (from “The Bachelor”) with a mission to help single parents by providing childcare scholarships and establishing single parent support programs across the nation. Allison is a single mother to her infant son, and was raised by a single mother.
